Sun Tech Days 2009

suntechdays2009

Sun Tech Days offers informative talks and interesting demonstrations, workshops and training sessions, contests and quizzes, and a place to meet Sun developers and colleagues interested in Java, Solaris, MySQL and other technologies. The conference will take place in St. Petersburg from April 8 to 10, 2009, at the LenExpo exhibition complex (Primorskaya metro station). To register for the conference, please follow this link: http://developers.sun.ru/techdays2009/registration/index.php?ref=2352

I already attended this conference last year and really enjoyed it. I’ve now registered again, and I recommend you do the same—admission is free!

The 2009 conference program will feature around 40 talks aimed at audiences with varying levels of experience. The first two days of Sun Tech Days (April 8 and 9) will feature technical talks, workshops for professionals, demonstrations and discussions at booths staffed by representatives of Sun Microsystems development teams and conference sponsors; University Day (April 10) is aimed at less experienced developers and students. In addition, that day will feature special talks for faculty, graduate students and the academic community. Particular attention will be paid to universities, curricula, grants, joint initiatives and solutions. The conference program includes talks on new products and updated software releases from Sun Microsystems—OpenSolaris 2008.11, JavaFX, NetBeans 6.5, xVM Server and MySQL. A new feature this year is the addition of talks by Russian developers who are not Sun Microsystems employees, discussing their own projects and experiences. Workshops have become a traditional part of the program. This year they will cover JavaFX and OpenSolaris technologies.
