# rm -rf /* — or your whole life in a few seconds!
Yes, you should never rush when changing data, let alone deleting it. Especially as root…
All I wanted to do was quickly delete some unnecessary files :)
These things happen… While typing quickly,
# rm -rf ./*
turned into
# rm -rf /*
I only missed a little dot, but my whole life flashed before my eyes :D
P.S. Basically, with mixed success, the data has been restored from February 14, 2009. Thanks to FirstVDS for the backups and support!
